“joy ride”
Pure happiness captured in bold black and white. A beloved companion enjoys the wind and freedom that only comes from the open road. This piece celebrates the simple pleasure of shared adventures and the bond between driver and copilot, whether human or otherwise.
“Perfect driving companion?!”
Not every muse sits still. Jill, my Jack Russell, fills every car ride with what I call her “singing”. A chorus of nerves and noise that somehow becomes endearing when you know her. She isn’t calm, she isn’t quiet, but she is undeniably present, and that energy is exactly what this piece preserves.
Creating art for charity feels different than painting for collectors. There’s no pressure to sell, no need to impress. Just honest emotion translated to canvas, offered in the hope that someone else feels the love behind the chaos. The Pet Project Foundation understands what these animals mean to us, and I’m honored this work can help support their mission.
Sometimes the imperfect moments are the ones worth remembering most.
